Bison Kush Mint Pre-Roll
About high time we hash out the details on another cannabis strain, don’t you think? This weed (sorry, week) we’ll be talking about a strain of cannabis I hope everyone has had the chance to try by now, Kush Mints Strain. This well-balanced hybrid is a cross between Animal Mints and Bubba Kush. Seed Junky Genetics bred the parent plants to bring us a delicious blend of sweet and spicy terpenes that’ll leave you relaxed and ready for lunch. Kush Mints is a 50/50 hybrid that has shown high levels of CBD as well as THC.
The first time I enjoyed Kush Mints weed strain was a beautiful fall evening. I’d just got home from work and was watching my dog roll around in the last rays of sunlight warming a patch of grass in the backyard. The temperature was perfect and there wasn’t much wind to speak of so I decided to light my Bison preroll up outside. A lot of times I’d experience an uneven burn with prerolls, especially outdoors, but not this time. Conditions were perfect and as I sat there unwinding from the day I knew I’d need more of this flower. When I’d finished it I certainly felt my thoughts jumping to different projects, and I had a strong headband feeling and sense of euphoria as well. As I stood up I could feel the relaxation wash over me and settle in my limbs. I hung out with my dog for a bit before heading inside to do some dishes. While I was relaxed I was in no means locked into the couch. Kush Mints does make me hungry though and thoughts of ordering 50 tacos for lunch at 10am may have crossed my mind. When I shared these thoughts we decided 30 tacos was more reasonable but probably still too many. In the end, I settled on several enchiladas, and they were glorious. Others report similar effects of happiness, relaxation, and increased appetite. The high CBG percentage can help with pain in a similar manner to CBD and has shown effectiveness at aiding with IBS, glaucoma, fighting cancer cells, and even having antibacterial properties.
Kush Mints Weed ranges in color from bright to darker greens with dense, chunky buds covered in orange pistils and crystalline trichomes. Just picking a flower up to inspect left my
fingers coated in fuzzy frosts. Taking a sniff will greet you with a sweet smell that turns into a spicy herbaceous aroma that lingers in your nostrils. The flower tastes fresh to me with hints of mint and an earthy undertone that makes for a very smooth, clean tasting smoke. Limonene is the dominant terpene found in Kush Mints. Caryophyllene and linalool are also present in greater amounts in this sort of flower which accounts for the spicy and sweet smells associated with the strain. When life hands you limonene outside of cannabis it often does so in citrus fruit rinds, different cosmetics, medicines, and cleaning products. Surprisingly just because cannabis smells lemony it does not mean there are high amounts of limonene in the plant! Limonene has shown mood boosting benefits as well as uses as an antioxidant and having tumor slowing properties. In addition, limonene helps your body absorb other terpenes effectively enhancing the entourage effect experienced. Strains high in limonene often have patients reporting feelings of relaxation, creativity, and joy. Kush Mints does all of those things for me and I know you’ll juana check this strain out for yourself!
